About Me

      My name is Shelley Vogelgesang and I am the proud owner of A Touch of Silk Therapeutic Massage Clinic located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Being an athlete from grade school through college, I wanted to be an athletic trainer. I liked the idea of helping people who were injured and getting them back to participating in their sport. But, for various reasons, I did not go that route. Instead, I got married and had kids. It wasn't till many years later that I decided to do something with my life. I checked into being a PT and/or Chiropractor. Both required me to be away from my family and I could not do that. Then one day I was introduced to the world of massage and I have enjoyed every single step of the way.

     I enrolled in The Center For Vital Living, which was located here in Fort Wayne. I then graduated ,tops in my class in 2007, with an Associates of Applied Science degree. At first I tried working from home and on a part time basis. Then I got a therapist position at Massage Envy SW and worked there for a year and a half, when I got the opportunity to open my own clinic. That was the best decision I ever made concerning my career. 

    My philosophy of massage is to try to help as many people as I can to get out of pain but also make it affordable for everyone. I work hand in hand with Physical therapists, Chiropractors and Doctors to make sure that we are on the same page. I have built a successful massage clinic through hard work, long hours and the passion to help people.
